The day was a perfect day for portraits, a relief after all the crazy weather we’ve been having in the Chicagoland area lately. I went out to Somonauk to catch up with Michele and her family. And what an easy time it ended up being!
Michele’s children.
They were posing on their swingset and I noticed that they were wearing such great shoes with fun detail… perfect!
Michele and her husband had an engagement photo on a tractor, so we had a small portion of the session with the whole family. This is definitely one of my favorites!
You know the saying, “Knee high by the fourth of July” ? Well, let me tell you, we’re in for a major crop this year – the corn was standing over six feet tall!
One of our last stops was their barn which had a rope for the kids to swing on and land on the soft straw. For some reason, the kids didn’t appear to mind too much when I asked them to repeat their swinging efforts for some in-camera effects I was trying out. Hmmm, odd that.
Seriously – a blast! The day had a perfect end to it with the most gorgeous pink sunset and clouds as I was driving home. Just perfect.
Thanks so much for having me out.
